Ok, so my phone line is set up... no working phone on the line yet but it is turned on.

Also just finished setting up the dsl... first geek thing to do once it was set up was to test the speed... then compare the speed to my cable since that is still on as well.

Cable speeds 2714 kbps download; 247 kbps upload
DSL speeds 5644 kbps download; 736 kbps upload....

And connecting to the office(Salt Lake City, UT) with the dsl is much better then it was with the cable... now all that is left is the stability test... how long can I work before the connection bails and I have to wait 15 minutes to reconnect and continue working.

The cable was averaging once every 2 to 2 and a half hours... kinda disrupts the work... and as much as my mind wonders disruptions are hazardous to my paycheck.

Going to fry's tomorrow with former boss from ms, and 1 of the former devs; I am phone shopping.
